| The Dinwiddle Colored Quartet formed in Dinwiddle County, Virgina around the turn of the 20th century. During the latter part of 1902 they traveled to Camden, New Jersey and stopped at the Victor Talking Machine Company. The group recorded 6 tracks on the 29th and 31st of October. These songs were released as six single-sided discs in December on Victor's Monarch Label. The members were, Sterling Rex, J. Clarence Meredith, Harry B. Cruder, and J. Mantell Thomas. |
